Trap works, but the bait does not : Farnam Home& Garden #14680 Captivator Fly Trap
I bought 2 of these traps and an extra pack of their attractant at Tsc. I put one out with the bait that came with it and after 3 days there were like 6 flies in it even though there were swarms of flies nearby it. So I called the co. Service and jumped thru all the hoops...put it 4 ft above the ground, on the ground, in the shade, and in the sun, it had 3 more flies in it. Well, I view maybe the bait that came with it was old so I put one of the replacements in it....jeez, in 3 more days there were flies in it. So now I knew something was wrong for sure. So in the other trap I put a pack of old, old bait I had bought at Wal-Mart the year before. It had set surface thru subzero temps and hot summer heat and it was dried out but after putting the water it dissolved and within 2 days it was more than half full of lies. So the trap is fine but the bait works as well as plain water.
I'm sorry, but these combine of reviews that says it is amazing makes wonder if the reviewer works for the company.
The trap itself would be a 5 star but the bait would have to be a 0 star.
