Worked great....for about 3 weeks. : Easy Heat EH-38 Freeze Thermostatically Controlled Valve and Pipe Heating System
Have several of these set up for our vacation home when we don't use it in the winter. It rarely freezes up there but when it does, I don't want to have to drive up to check on the place so I have several of these set up in areas where pipes could freeze with heating lamps plugged into them. I also have one for the pump and plumbing pulling water out of the lake for our lawn sprinkler system where the pipes are exposed. So far have been using 4 winters and every winter we always have at least one hard freeze and never a problem. Only thing I'm worried about is the bulbs burning out so I wish they made one with two plugs so I can plug two lamps into each one so I have back up bulbs.
